This month, we're excited to put the spotlight on our Global Account Executive, Eric Stoner! Eric is a veteran of both the US Military and management, with nearly 30 years of combined experience. We wanted to talk to him to learn more about his extensive career and his life outside the office.
You started your career in the military. What made you decide to serve?
"As a kid, I was always obsessed with the military and fascinated with flying. My uncle went to the Naval Academy, but West Point seemed like the natural thing to do."
You have enough experience to work anywhere. Why’d you choose Taimen?
"I had been following Taimen on social media, and it was one of only two companies I wanted to interview with. I wanted to help a smaller company grow and Taimen had everything I was looking for."
What do you consider the biggest achievement of your career so far?
"I’ve had opportunities to do things others don’t get to, like fly with night vision and work with the secret service. I work with as good of a team now as I did back then."
How do you unwind and relax after a busy day or week?
"I read, lift weights, and watch a lot of sports, and I also coach high school football. I don’t know if that counts as relaxing, but I enjoy working with those guys."
What’s your favorite band or musician?
"I’m a huge Beatles fan. I got their first album when I was 3 and played it on a Fisher-Price record player. I even use to dress up like them."
What’s a personal goal look forward to achieving?
"At some point, I’d like to have grandkids. That’s not something that I can personally achieve, but I definitely look forward to it."
